A SERIOUS fire which swept through a Kidderminster carpet warehouse was started accidentally.
More than 70 firefighters from Wyre Forest, Worcestershire and the West Midlands tackled the blaze at a carpet and underlay storage depot on Gemini Business Park, Stourport Road, yesterday.
Alec Mackie, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesman, said an investigation had revealed the fire was caused by sparks from an angle grinder.
