POINT-TO-POINT: Women riders had a field day at the Wheatland point-to-point meeting at sun drenched Chaddesley Corbett on Sunday.
Himbleton rider Alex Smith Maxwell took the Confined with Hi Tech Man, Jane Williams won the Restricted on Sapega, while Immy Robinson guided Jemaro to victory in the Members.
Hi Tech Man won the Worcestershire Members over the course three weeks ago and with ideal conditions Miss Smith Maxwell was always holding the upper hand and swooped late to land the spoils by two and a half lengths from Lord Louis.
Sapega and Jane Williams equalled the second fastest time recorded over the course when taking the Conditions.
The winner took up the running when Wenceslas weakened at the final open ditch.
Immy Robinson and Airoski tried to mount an effort over the final three fences, but lacked pace for an effective challenge and the Enville trained gelding stayed on strongly to record his first win of the season for the rider's mother Diana.
There was compensation for connections of the runner up when Jemaro gave an exhibition display of jumping in the concluding Members.
This race was a veteran's pay day. The winner is 17-year-old and the runner-up, Philtre, 14, and while they went at it hammer and tongs over the final half mile, the winner had the race sewn up as they turned into the home straight.
David Mansell went to Chaddesley hoping to extend his lead in the riders' championship but fate was against him when he was beaten on two fancied mounts.
In the Mixed Open, the odds on Dudley Cup winner Cottage River looked a near certainty, but his only opponent Itsalf finished alone leaving Mansell to face the stewards.
In the Restricted his Sykee Savage got no further than the third fence.
There was a winner for a local stable on Saturday when Pirate Flagship kept up a good run for Worcestershire owner Angela Rucker by landing the Brecon Ladies.
Winners: Confined: Hi Tech Man 5-1, 10 ran. Maiden: Land Rover Lad,12-1, 17 ran. Restricted: Iochtaran 9-4,9 ran. Mixed Open: Itsalf,4-1, finished alone, 2 ran. Conditions: Sapega 4-5 fav, 8 ran. Members: Jemaro 4-9 fav, 4 ran.
