A NEW exhibition explores the tales of royalty that intertwine with the 700-year history of an historic Bewdley building.
The exhibition at Bewdley Museum looks at the history of Tickenhill Manor, one of the former palaces of Tudor England.
Jenny Robbins, vice-chairman of the Friends of the Museum, has worked closely with Elizabeth Cowley, museum collections officer, to research and organise the exhibition.
Jenny said: “The history of the palace and its royal connections is fascinating. The research has been hard work but great fun and we hope people will enjoy finding out about the palace.”
Elizabeth added: “This exhibition has local interest and very few people realise that a Royal Palace existed in Bewdley.
“The building itself is not open to the public, so this is a unique chance to learn about its history. We are very grateful to the current owners, who have helped us to create this exhibition and shared so much information about their home with us.”
Entry is free and the exhibition runs until Sunday, September 21. It is open daily from 10am to 4.30pm.
