A SELF-proclaimed “rock band for the people” will play a beer festival this Saturday.
Hot Wyred were formed in March following an advert posted by lead guitarist Billy Dodwell, looking for “ageing rockers to form the best rock’n’roll band around”.
The band members are aged between 41 and 57, and Mr Dodwell said he believes they have experience that other bands lack.
He added: “We are all experienced musicians who have been playing in bands for years but want to get back to playing music we like and people want to hear.”
Their set list includes a fresh take on George Gershwin’s Summertime, alongside more traditional rock anthems by David Bowie, The Kinks, Chuck Berry and Guns ‘N’ Roses.
They headline the band stage at 8.30pm, at the New Inn, New Inn Lane, Stourport.
