TICKETS are still available for a night of rock music in aid of a local charity.

The Loaded ’08 event at the Sutton Arms pub, in Kidderminster, will raise money for the Proton Effect, which helps cancer sufferers in the Wyre Forest area that can not get all the funding they need from the local Primary Care Trust.

The gig will feature up-and-coming Kidderminster bands and will be headlined by local favourites, Sons of Beaches.

The band, led by Sutton Arms landlord, Carl Wlikes, write their own songs and list their influences as Bon Jovi, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

Support comes from Los Gravitas, who are all aged between 18 and 21 and specialise in melodic rock.

Also playing are four-piece band, Amoeba, and a tribute to 80s grunge-rockers, Faith No More, called Faith No Man.

The gig takes place on Saturday, August 16. For tickets, call Carl Wilkes on 07949 025537.
