A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a severe blaze at a derelict building in Kidderminster last night.

Two Kidderminster fire crews and one crew from Bewdley attended the fire in Mouse Lane, Franche, at 11.10pm.

They carried out search and rescue tactics in case anyone was inside the property and used four breathing apparatuses and two hose reels.

A fire investigation was carried out this morning with scene of crime officers from West Mercia Police.

The suspect remains in custody.
