A FLAG raising ceremony will be held in Kidderminster to celebrate the transfer of the Olympic Games from Beijing to London for 2012.
Conservative councillors Stephen Williams, chairman of Wyre Forest District Council and John Campion, leader of the district council, will raise the flag along with Kate Walker, the British number two for judo.
The special handover flag will then be left flying after the Olympic closing ceremony has taken place in Beijing.
The handover will be celebrated across the UK, with over 400 flag raising ceremonies going on nationwide.
The flag will be raised at 2pm on Sunday at Kidderminster Town Hall.
