I HAVE just read an article in the Shuttle concerning double glazing worker Stephen Moule who has not received payment for work undertaken with a company named Creative Homestyle who were based in Kidderminster.

I am absolutely disgusted and amazed that this company have been allowed to change name and continue trading.

In November 2000 we paid £11,750 to Paramount Windows for a conservatory which allegedly came with a 10-year guarantee from Swish Windows & Doors.

After one year we had a problem with the roof which was rectified in a manner that can only be described as child like'.

During 2004 it became apparent that the conservatory was, in fact, moving and it transpired that the footings had not been dug to the correct depth.

For the next 10 months Paramount owners Martin and Linda Foulkes dodged the situation and eventually told us that the firm had ceased trading.

What they did not tell us was that M & L Homestyle (Martin & Linda) had relaunched themselves and Paramount was nothing more to do with them.

They also told us that our 10-year guarantee with Swish was null and void as it had never been registered. At that time I wrote to Swish and to the Receivers, Baker Tilley, outlining our situation - to this day I have never received a reply from either.

In 2005 it transpired that we should actually have applied for planning permission and Paramount had never done this even though we queried it. We had to negotiate with Wyre Forest District Council and obtain a Certificate of Lawful use at a cost of £110.

I feel very sorry for Mr Moule, especially as his employment tribunal told him he had little chance of receiving his owed monies.

This couple have taken people's cash, spent it and no doubt live a very nice lifestyle without any consideration for the likes of the hardworking minorities.

If I wanted a cowboy company there were enough around but Paramount was a long-established company in the area - how wrong we were!

What is wrong with this country that they, and others, can repeatedly get away with treating good people like this.

I hope sometime soon they get their just reward and in the meantime I wish Mr Moule good luck in obtaining what it rightly his - his salary and holiday pay.
