WI – President Jeanne Round welcomed 33 members to the July meeting. A team will be entered for the skittles tournament.
A coffee morning will be held at Mrs Joyce Allen’s home on August 2 and a supper evening will take place on August 11 at Mrs Joan Kidd’s home.
The president read a report from the delegate who attended the AGM in Liverpool.
The programme planning committee had arranged a varied panel of speakers for 2009.
Mr Peter Clement from the National Trust showed slides of Trust properties and spoke about its history and development.
Nonny James will be the speaker on September 8 and will talk about music, mischief and mirth. All welcome.
